Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms cover your use of the TripBoard app. By downloading or using TripBoard, you agree to them. They're written to be readable — please take a moment to read through.
1. Using TripBoard
TripBoard is an iOS app that lets you save places from links and screenshots and pins them to a trip map. You don't need an account to use it. You must use TripBoard in line with these terms and with Apple's App Store terms. You're responsible for keeping your device and your iCloud account secure.
2. Free & Pro
TripBoard is free to use. Unlimited boards, unlimited destinations, unlimited manual pins, and iCloud sync are all included at no cost. The free tier limits only the AI auto-pin feature, which automatically identifies a venue from a shared link or screenshot.
- Free includes 10 AI auto-pins per calendar month. The count resets at the start of each month and unused credits don't roll over. One credit equals one shared link, regardless of how many venues that link produces.
- Pro removes that limit and gives you unlimited AI auto-pins.
We may adjust the specifics of the free allowance over time; any change will apply going forward.
3. Subscriptions & billing
TripBoard Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription on these plans:
- Monthly — billed each month.
- Yearly — billed once a year at a lower effective monthly rate.
All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account — we never see or handle your payment details. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm, and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings at any time.
4. Free trial
The yearly plan includes a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. The monthly plan does not include a trial.
- If you don't cancel before the 3-day trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid yearly subscription and your Apple account is charged the yearly price.
- You can cancel any time during the trial from your App Store account settings and you won't be charged.
- Trial eligibility is determined by Apple. If any portion of a free trial is unused when you subscribe, the unused portion is forfeited.
5. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel at any time in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device, or through the App Store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access through the end of the period you've already paid for.
Because billing is handled by Apple, refunds are subject to Apple's policies and are requested through Apple, not through us. We're happy to help where we can — reach out using the contact details below.
6. Your content
The trips, places, and notes you create are yours. They're stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud — we don't claim ownership and we don't have a copy. You're responsible for the content you save and for having the right to save it.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use TripBoard for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the app or its backend services, including the AI venue-resolution feature.
- Use the service in a way that places an unreasonable load on it or attempts to circumvent usage limits.
8. No warranty
TripBoard is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Venue identification relies on third-party data and AI, and may be incomplete or inaccurate — always verify important details (such as a location or business hours) before you rely on them. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripBoard and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use TripBoard after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law jurisdiction to be specified], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
